There are 3 tournaments that the school will be taking fighters to. April 9th at Crystal Leisure centre for the British Sport Karate Federation Midlands International, April 23rd at Snow Dome in Tamworth for The Battleground Open and April 30th at Apollo MArtial Arts in Brierley Hill for the British Sport Karate League. Anybody wishing to take part should see reception for more details.

Jamie Checketts succesfully brought home 2nd place at the WAKO British Championships on Sunday 11th February 2007. His first fight was to get into the draw and he fought a past opponent which he beat with relative ease 13 - 6. Next opponent proved a bit more of a handful and Jamie was only up by 1 point after the 1st round. A spinning heel kick was disallowed but Jamie managed to score a late punch to seal the 2nd round and the fight 6-5. The 3rd round saw Checketts fired up once more and his opponent couldn't cope with the speed of his blitz. After the 2 rounds Jamie had won his place in the final 11 - 7. In the final, Jamie couldn't find his rhythm against Scotlands top fighter. Everything Jamie threw, his opponent had an answer for and the final score didnt reflect what was a close fight. A brilliant result for Jamie now sees him moving up into the adult categories.
